Nondiscrimination and Harassment

The Warren County School Board is committed to maintaining an educational environment and workplace free from discrimination and harassment. In accordance with applicable law, the School Board prohibits discrimination and harassment against students, employees, applicants, and others on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race, color, national origin, disability, religion, ancestry, age, marital status, pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, military status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. This prohibition applies at school, in the workplace, and during any WCPS-sponsored program or activity.

Title IX Notice of Nondiscrimination

The Warren County School Board and Warren County Public Schools (WCPS) do not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibit sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, in any education program or activity operated by WCPS, including employment, as required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and its implementing regulations.

This notice applies to all WCPS schools, programs, and activities, as well as students, parents and legal guardians, employees, applicants for employment, and other members of the WCPS community.

Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, whether or not the person reporting is the individual alleged to have experienced the conduct. Reports may be made to the WCPS Title IX Coordinator in person, by mail, telephone, or email using the contact information provided on this page.

Reports may be submitted at any time, including outside regular business hours, by email, mail, or through any reporting method identified on this page. Reports will be reviewed and addressed during regular business hours in accordance with WCPS policies and procedures.

WCPS prohibits retaliation against any person for reporting sex discrimination, participating or declining to participate in a Title IX process, or otherwise exercising rights protected by Title IX.

Questions regarding Title IX may be directed to the WCPS Title IX Coordinator or the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
